A young family bought this recently constructed home but wanted it to feel more finished and reflect their personal style. In the heart of the home, the kitchen, breakfast and family room retained the original floorplan but new colors, fabrics, furnishings and accessories were introduced. In the kitchen, new tile work and better lighting over the island made a formerly drab corner sing. Fresh paint, custom window coverings, custom furniture and carpets throughout create relaxing and pleasing spaces for the adults but functional and child-friendly for their two toddlers.
For the formal entertaining spaces the homeowners wanted a more sophisticated feeling that would still harmonize with the rest of the house. The dining room features a new color palette and a mix of hand-crafted custom pieces, original antiques and mass market items. In the living room, the redesigned fireplace and mantel are more appropriate in scale and style for the room. Custom pieces were sourced and designed to complete the room.
